Who's famous in Beckenham?
Some friends and I were discussing down the local who has been famous and come from or lived in Beckenham. Not many iconic or stylish things to photograph in the town so pethaps it's better known for its people; Enid Blighton, Marc Bolan, David Bowie, Peter Frampton, Nigel Benn, even Kate Lawler off Big Brother. We got stumped a bit then so anyone else know any other famous people living or dead who hale from here?

There are loads. For example, there is one fellow who lived in Clock House ward without whom our lives would be altogether less sanitary!

You may be able to still get a copy of the souvenir programme - I saw one in OmniCrafts picture framing shop in Croydon Road, just past the Rec.
